That was great and very entertaining, however, a couple of passes and those false cuts surely count as "clever sleight of hand"?
The poster was, by the looks of it, a "newbie" magician - could the routine be adapted to use simpler moves?

Hi Bruce,

Thanks, I should of stated in my post that when I do this myself I use those sleights. But this same routine can be performed with very little skill and just the basic sleights.

It looks the same for the spectators.

Thanks - either way it is a great trick.
I just love watching a spectator holding "their" card, and knowing what is about to happen :D

I open with my own coin routine and close with my version of liquid metal. Or I open with a bill switch and close with Dave Bonsall's RingFlight.

My opening bit will very depending on the venue and spectators but pretty much all the time I will end with my own ring transposition routine. A borrowed ring is vanished and then appears inside a sealed envelope that has been on the table from the start. Sealed and opened by the spectator who's ring is inside. With the presentation I put with it, it is a really memorable piece to leave a group of people with especially the person who's ring you had borrowed.

Apologies for double posting. I read back through some of the posts and must of missed this one. Have you read a book by Eugene Burger where he describes his method for instantly appearing a full shot glass upon meeting someone. He says he will shake hands with a person gripping their forearm too to give the sense of both hands not consealing anything, then reach behid them or somewhere to reveal the beverage in his hand. It's not something I've done a lot but after reading it in paticular I tried it out and it definatly is an impressive way to introduce yourself to people.

For the life of me though I can't think of which book I'd read it in.

Always close with a miracle, 3 cards across or an ACR with omni deck at the end always looks amazing.
