Yeah I agree Irving.

However I'm also a bit bored, but also sickened if these people genuinely just want all these horrible things to happen to someone. Derren seems to enjoy it a bit too much too! lol

Aside from the fact that the audiences votes could count for nothing, and it could just be a giant version of the TOD where everyone assumes their vote wont make a difference and he has just said the negative option wins each time.

Other than that, didn't we all know people would do this ? Of course people are t**ts.

Great twist! Hope they were all thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

I think the point is more like that we should all be thoroughly ashamed of ourselves.

Agreed. Yes it was interesting to see the audience react when he got run over, but as for the experiment into anonymous behavior nothing has been proved, we didn't get to see the audiences individually voting so Derren could have just said they chose the horrible thing to happen every time.

An experiment never actually took place, as we may have not been told the real results and even if they were the real results, so what, we knew that being in a group makes people behave differently.

The show just highlighted Derrens ability to perform/act at the end.

Well you might not believe me, but I really would pick nice things. It wasn't 100% picking the negative things, some people wouldn't.

I think the fact it was a Derren Brown show makes us want/expect different things. It seems he really is just doing psychology experiements rather than bothering much with his illusions etc. Yes of course the votes might not have been for something negative to happen, but the fact they were all laughing etc, and you even saw a woman pressing 'B' at one point clearly shows that at least some would have been choosing bad things. The fact that some people were shouting to have his room trashed just highlighted this more.

I wish he would bring back his old type of shows. If this was being run by someone else I would have still found it interesting/entertaining.

Actually just thought they had that new TV ready quite quick. Perhaps the person shouting out to smash the TV was a stooge, or maybe they just really guessed it would escalate to that..

Im a massive fan of Derren but that was the worst thing he has done ! (Worse than 30.000 feet)

I dont think the choices were any worse than usual prank programmes ! If it was a real experiment into normal people making horribly nasty choices in a gang you'd imagine the phone call being maybe a family problem and then kidnapping him and having 'A' let him go 'B' hit him with a hammer lol

I think telling people to be disappointed in them self because they wanted someone to give them a prank phone call about being fired is a bit mela dramatic. Good twist at the end though

See - I disagree - I really enjoyed it. Definitely one of the better things, from my perspective :)

Psychologically it was very leading - "And here he has a TV... and a baseball bat..."

They were already shouting trash his room after they emptied the drawer of stuff on his bed.

I quite enjoyed it. It's certainly not magic but that does not mean it is not entertaining. :)

The ending would have been more dramatic if he announced he was dead.
Not much of a reaction from the audience or the bloke involved.
If someone was having that bad a day I shouldn't expect there are many that would take it in their stride as much as he did, most people would get incredibly angry or upset.

What saddens me when watching these shows is the thought of how brilliant Derren's tv shows used to be.
I found this show long-winded and boring and a far cry from his gripping, earlier specials. He's a great performer but any great performer also needs good material to work with.
