Crack the code, win a prize (aka The Headache Thread®)

Postby Ted » Nov 25th, '11, 11:33

If anyone can tell me what this means before the first of December then they get a really good prize worth over £10:

The puzzle is: 8c4f4dc53be80c03203e596eda22dcc7053955b5
The clue is: TalkMagic

Here are the rules:

1. No PMs please.
2. The answer will be clear to anyone. It will not be some obscure reference.
3. If you think that the answer is a set of co-ordinates, a MAC address or some other encoded entity, I'm interested in the entity* not a string of values.
4. The key to this is 'TalkMagic'. This is a crucial clue.

* What I mean by that is, I'd want to know what was at the location of the co-ords, the system that had the MAC address or the secret message encoded in the cypher text.

Some previous guesses and discussions are here. Please post further thoughts on this thread, though.

In a minute I'm going to use the heavy weapons (which usually invariably fails)...

I've tried logging in as Mandrake with that as a password but it didn't work...

I guess asking for another encoded string would be too much...

Well, you certainly know your ABCs* and how to count to 9 :)
