Vote for Piff for World's shortest gig (15 seconds) in NY

Postby Discombobulator » Feb 9th, '12, 22:54

Amnesty International are looking for a lucky UK performer to win a place at the world's shortest gig. 15 seconds in New York.
-----------------------------
Announcing the World’s Shortest Gig: 15 seconds of stand-up comedy on stage at the Secret Policeman’s Ball in New York. And it could be YOU!

Upload a clip of your funniest 15 seconds. Fingers crossed the panel of judges fall around laughing and you’ll be standing on the stage of Radio City Music Hall in front of 5,000 people. So no pressure then.

You’ve got until 20 Feb to get your entry in.

No, no - this could really work...

We just need to find a magii brave enough to preform Squaring the Circle, at waist-height, whilst naked; just need the fire brigade on hand, to cut the apparatus away from the mangled genitalia at the conclusion

Joking aside, what a silly concept, and an insult to any performer.

I think its more for amateurs than serious performers. rules state you can't have performed act on telly or have conflicting commitments to an agent etc.
You do appear on stage with Russel Brand, Mumford and Sons and Coldplay. and it is broadcast on US tv.
Would still be good if a magician won a trip to NY to perform for 15 seconds.

Usually takes me more than 15 seconds to introduce myself and say I'm about to do some magic.

Do I get to wear my best frock to show off my fine physique, or is it an outdoor gig during the New York winter?

I know what I could do that usually takes 15 seconds BUT

a) Would mean the wife would have to be on stage with me

b) She says its not a very good act anyway

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...
