I've had this now for about 6 months and the reactions it get is really really good. The routine I go with is I give the spectator the magicians choice ( not that they know that ) and place it in their open hand .
I then tell them that Im going to try to take out the 50p, on the count of 3, but I want them to try to stop me by making a fist as quickly as possible.
I have another in fi--er p--m and as my hand comes up from underneath their hand ,it goes up the side of their hand ,when they open their hand I open mine and show them the 50p....They are simply amazed as to how I got it out of their hand,I let them look at the coin for a few seconds but then take it back.....
The gimmick is so good that I have the confidence to place it in their hand, otherwise it would be done in mine, but I don't think the reactions would be the same..

okay nearly done: i was a little torn because alakazam sell the same thing for £45, and i was thinking higher price=better quality and maybe i'd rather spend a few extra quid for something that i feel really confident with and can rely on. In the end frugality got the better of me, i went with cheaper one, and I'm very happy i did.

I know this is an old post in an old thread but I just wanted to add, I've got the alakazam version and when I opened up the packaging I initially thought they had sent me the wrong gaff so perfect looking the £2 coin was!

Sorry to revive an old thread guys! I'm new to the forum so I'm just getting use to things around here!

Its funny because last year (october 2011) I purchased the £2/50p coin from emagictricks and returned it twice due to shaking and rattling with an extremely weak gimmick! :?
It's weird how thier coins seemed to have improved now looking at all the rave reviews everywhere!

I settled to buying the same thing from international magic earlier this year, but now regret it as well as it is the worst coin unique I own!
Really poor quality and on top of that it doesn't look like £2 anymore because for some reason it is extremely pale now :(
