Im watching The Manchurian Approach by Anthony Jacquin. It shows how hypnotism can be used in magic. Do you think its possible the small group of specs were hypnotised in to believing they seen what the tv viewer seen?

Yes, it would be possible but improbable. :P If they are stooges, they don't need to be hypnotised. Money does it all...
Anyway...
In my opinion, Dynamo is kind a mixture between Criss Angel and David Blaine. :D Tricks that seems impossible; almost no presentation/talk - no gags either.
He does tricks that nobody else has done. It means that he has to be a brilliant inventor or else cameras give him a little "help". :P I don't know what to think.

Check out the list of advisors, some for illusions, different ones for close-up - he has a very talented team working to develop and set up those effects.

I have no doubt Dynamo has great chops. I do sometimes doubt the reaction we see is for the same effect we are shown

One of his advisors is Luke Jermay. He is a good mentalist, no doubt about that...
But if the postcard trick Dynamo did to that couple in episode 3 is what we see it is... He has some supernatural mentalism powers. :P

I can't see him using a swami, sooo...?

He is not an entertainer as he has no presence or personality (like Blaine) but what he is doing on tv is "tv magic" and i doubt if you saw him turn up at a party or doing a show at your town hall he would be doing very much of what has been on his show.He is the buzz word magician just now and everyone always asks if you like him and can you do what he does. This makes it very difficult for us magicians as we cannot possibly replicate some of the effects. It rankled me and many others who saw the One Show and when asked if he had someone who devised tricks for him the same way as comedians have joke writers and he said he had a vivid imagination. No credit given to his team of consultants. He has been picked out and given a very lucky break.Good luck to the guy but give credit where credit is due especially when you do nothing original at all.

I like the guy. I think he comes across as a very warm person, a genuine human being.

Having said that, some of the stunts are a little OTT for me, & I do wonder how long the viewing public
will continue to watch.
Having said that, I suppose Dynamo is being paid very well for what he is doing, & given the chance I doubt
very few of us would argue with what we are told is going to be filmed, or what tricks we are allowed to do.

Just my two penneths worth. I would sooner see a good double turn over. :D

What frustrates magicians about Dynamo is:

1) He does things they cannot do and magicians see that as unfair towards them.
Camera tricks have always been part of tv magic since the Copperfield specials. I doubt anyone here would refuse a tv series and huge cheque if they were asked to include a few camera tricks on their tv shows. Their "pure sleight of hand"principles would vanish quicker than Dynamo did in his trailer.

2) His shows use clever editing. But don't a huge amount of demo videos advertising effects? In this day and age people can spin back and re-watch things in slo mo which would result in huge exposure.

3) They think they are better and should be more successful than him. Well, get out of the magic society, spend less time on forums and work you backside off like he did.

4) He has no personality. Just like Blaine, today's audiences respond to quickfire effects. The ponderous routines of yesteryear which take an eon for something to happen are old hat to many people these days.

Seconded! well said!!!

I might be new to magic, but I'm working my ar*e off to make a name for myself, i don't care who i perform to, as long as it's remembered and one day i'll have my own tv show too!

And i cannot agree more with point one, money talks unfortunately! so the day I'm offered my tv show all my morals will go out of the window!!

Of course i will still respect the origins of the craft but......as Jessie J says, it's all about the money!!

Much love

That's not a good thing to admit early in your career.

It's the boy who cried wolf syndrome. Dynamo uses so many stooges and camera effects that even when he doesn't, I tend to assume that he is.
