I agree with pretty much everything that everybody's said here - that you'll get better value for money from most books, that it's more-important to learn the philosophy and to practice the technique than to learn slights, and (like everybody else) to plug Tarbell, Wilson, Hugard, etc.

That said: I did sign up an account on encyclopediaofmagic.com.au. I wouldn't have done so if I hadn't seen a promo code in one of their YouTube videos (they publish a good deal of their content to YouTube, as a "teaser"), offering lifetime access for the price of one month. Exchange rates as they were, that equated to a little under £10, which seemed like a no-brainer. The videos they've got are pretty good at teaching a variety of common slights, and the focus is on technique rather than on "tricks", so it was actually pretty good. I didn't learn as much as I'd have liked, because they were clearly still adding content and were prioritising the "basics"/"intermediate" stuff. However, their photography and presentation is really good, and it's a perfectly acceptable learning resource.

In short: it's pretty good, but I don't think it's worth subscribing for any longer than it takes to watch the videos that interest you (unless you can find one of the "lifetime" codes). Don't be fooled by their forum offering, though: it's 95% spam; completely unreadable.
