Tis a shame, cos he was quite good back in the day, the old mystic weirdo!

Now he's just a weirdo!

Much love

Aza

Lest we forget him trying to hypnotise Eamon Holmes with the eye in his hand!! Shazaaam!!! :D

A truely odd fellow is this Mr Blaine. Quite what he is trying to prove is beyond me, I will conceed that he was a good magician in his day but I really don't understand these frivolous stunts. I think the boy really has misplaced his last marble.

Personally I quite like these stunts. They require endurance and will power, and I think he deserves respect for that. Besides, magic is about showing people something different and out of the ordinary, and bringing people together through the shared experience. They might not be tricks as such, but if they have that impact of making people pause in their daily routines to witness something special and interesting then I think they have value. I'm looking forward to it anyway.

With all respect Tomo, your first two posts are still exposure, regardless of how highly people rate him or his tricks.

I was never a fan of Blaine as a magician. I am a big fan of his endurance stunts. I will be checking in on this one. Fair play to him. Its about the entertainment, not the magic. Blaine is creating a buzz.

Na. it is basic science, and at no time is this being classed as a magic trick. I for one wouldn't like to sit there for three days, even in the Faraday suit he is wearing in the trailer.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I wonder how he's gonna offset the carbon footprint for this particular piece.

Watching the repeats of Mock The Week on TV this evening , I heard Josh Widdicombe remark that when Blaine did his famous sealed in a block iof ice stunt, they missed a golden opportunity to name the effect, not Frozen In Time, but 'Chillblaine'.... :D
