I have recently got The Birthday Detector - Chris Hare (in excellent condition may I add, from warldorfcartoons) if anybody has this do they have a problem where they are not getting the right date and instead getting the same date everytime. I have tried different handlings but it appears to still be a problem.

Can't really give away anything much else than that without tipping the secret.

If anybody has this and can be any help could they pm me as I think its an excellent effect/idea.

I was doing some research into this effect recently as I was considering buying it and i wanted a diary effect. In the end I made up a telepathic diary based on a Cassidy effect. If you go on the magic cafe they have a thread there with people who are having similar problems. There are some tips and people you can e-mail for advice I think? Worth a look!

I was tempted to buy this and adapt it somewhat but there were a few negative comments elsewhere and at the cafe which put me off. Hope you get it sorted.
