vids still down. Strange...maybe something to do with the forum's server? This sort usually settles down within days so maybe if we check back soon the videos will come back to life.

smooth double lifts

Postby Lamentz » Apr 24th, '05, 18:09

Smooth double lifts are what really make a simple ambitious card routine work and look good, you dont want to be spending too much time setting them up, it should all flow if ya know what i mean. I personally final that the snap DL is great for the ambitious card routine, its basically just a simple thumb count but very effective, but if ya can i would recommend learning a picky count...., totally invisble set up and makes double/triple hell quadruple lifts if ya want to really really easy. darwin Ortiz i belive teaches it on one of his at the card table dvds.

I've tried a pinky count lift, but because I have very small hands (I'm only 14, you know :)) my pinky doesn't reach round the deck enough to count. I can hold a b**** (just in case :P) very easily but apart from that I can't do manipulations with my pinky.

I generally use a pushover getready: take off the first card, do something with it, and pushover and pull back the next card, securing a break. Talk for a few seconds for misdirection and there you have it!

Kat, you should be using the DL I showed you for the AC routine.

When you've got it off good lift 3 at the beginning, put the top one in the middle and DL to show it on top. Then put it in the middle again and turn the top one over to show it back on top a second time before continuing the routine 8)

If you can't get the move off properly PM me where you are struggling.

Yes! Very near invisible slight, totally agree with you. Daryl Ambitious card rountine DVD explains it quite well. If you can do the count while keeping the cards in the Mech. Grip then your laffin all the way home.

Hi Magic Mockingbird

First off - cool avatar!

Second. The video files are not working at the moment due to a recent hack on this site. There are various threads under the Miscellaneous section.
