Mikame Coin Castle

Postby Stephen Ward » Mar 24th, '05, 16:26

The Effect

A large wooden coin castle is show to the spectators. The castle has a drawer which is opened. The spectator is given a coin (any ungimmicked coin) to inspect and sign. The coin in then placed in the drawer and closed. The magican then takes a locked wooden chest out of his pocket and puts it on top of the wooden castle. A key is then handed to the spectator. The spectators can now see that a coin is climbing up the wall of the castle and when it reaches the top it vanishes. The spectator then takes the locked chest, opens it with the key and inside is their signed coin.

Here are some pictures of mine being used:

Review
I have had this for a few months now and it is becoming the highlight of my close-up and cabaret shows. People can stand really close or be a good distance apart and will still see this amazing effect. Mikame products are always top quality and this is no exception. They have devised a very clever principle to pull this effect off. You cannot show the back of the castle though. One tip is to remember how you have set it up at start before giving them a coin to sign (i cannot say too much but this will all make sense if you purchase this effect). You need very little skill to perform this effect. You should be confident in using this after a few days practise. The castle is solidly made from wood.

Comes wilth all gimmicks needed to start performing right away. You get a good instruction sheet. Maybe a bit expensive for the hobbist but trust me this looks great. It is also nice to dsiplay in your house and is a good conversation piece.

Overall

10/10
