Aaaarrggghhhh!! It's the...Mental Photography Deck!!

Mental Photography Deck (or "Blank Deck" in some cases)

The Effect
A magician pulls out a deck of cards -- all blank on both sides! He explains that the guys who work at USPCC actually prints the faces and the backs with "mental photographic ability", and announces that he will experiment their moves. He gives the blank deck a bit of cut, and suddenly the face appears. One by one the face emerges and even the backs are now printed. All of a sudden magician stops the process -- saying he's feeling a bit tired and lost concentration; and, in an instant the deck is changed to all-blank.

Cost
$10 from The Magic Warehouse

Difficulty
1

Review
A great trick to play around with. Usually spectators, when seeing a deck of cards, think of take-one-reveal-it routine; but this is a bit different. This is extremely visual if performed properly.

Great effect to start and end a routine with. My patter when switching is "Ok, let's use a normal deck, shall we?"

Overall
10/10

whats good is at the end of the routine you put the deck away in the case and you start to put it in your pocket and pull it out all of a sudden saying...wait wait no you try..and then you ask them to put the deck in their pocket...after that you ask them to try out their pyschic abilities and then when they pull out the deck its a regular deck...all that needs to be done is a quick deck switch while in your pocket...but because the deck is pulled out immediately like you made a mistake the spectator doesnt think much of that..overall good effect tho

This sounds a little like a reverse working or variation of Meir Yedid's Fade Out.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

yep no problem mate...need any other help just ask around...found the working of the trick usefull???....i know im gonna use it more often, but ive changed mine up a bit explaining mine as a real life working of the matrix...except without technology...i explain mine as just being a twist of reality...and conforming an environment around something so small that it can seem so real...i swear they actually beleive i was able to make them think their card was their....amazing wut you can do with a single gaffed deck like this...this is really one of those peices where it all comes down to patter...its a make it or break it effect....i love it
