actually, the terminology is a "lay" person

Well apart from the reference to intelligence I didn't see anything offensive, so I can only assume that no offence was taken by anyone. However, as has been mentioned that wording is identical to the question on the Derren Brown site, so if you have no interest I can only guess that your friend has an interest, has failed to find the answer himself and is trying to trick you into finding it for him. This has also been mentioned but you might want to tell him that no secrets are revealed on his site, Derren just gives magicians the opertunity to buy some of his products which are of absolutely no use whatsoever to anyone without a firm grounding in magical theory and practice.
