Learn from some of the best in the business

Postby STMagic » Jan 28th, '15, 11:11

This March, the South Tyneside International Magic Festival (STIMF) Convention is giving you the chance to engage with two of the most creative minds in mentalism – Atlas and Looch.

The creative duo will be hosting a special masterclass immediately following the convention on Sunday March 15, where attendees will be given the chance to learn more about the business of the magic industry and the skills to be used on stage.

In addition to their effects and methods, Atlas and Looch will also be sharing their expertise in establishing a brand, pricing a show, networking, accounting and marketing, for everything from private parties to corporate events.

From Train Tracking to The Black Project, everything is on the table in this aptly entitled masterclass. So if you want to perform professionally, if you want to know how to improve and develop your performance or how to promote your services more effectively, then this is the masterclass for you.

Attendance is strictly limited and is open to both convention delegates and non-delegates at a cost of £250 for up to six hours of expert tuition. For more information, or to book, call 0191 424 7986, email events@southtyneside.gov.uk or visit www.southtynesidemagic.com

Proud to say that Magicbox is sponsoring the South Tyneside International Magic Festival 2015. The team at Magicbox has been with us since the beginning and have been sponsors for the past nine years. It's great to have them on board and you can hear Graeme Shaw from the company talking about the festival on BBC Radio Newcastle by following this link http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02h12bd#auto (it starts at 1hour, 39mins and 50seconds in).

In the next few posts I’m going to be introducing you to some of the dealers that will be present at the South Tyneside International Magic Convention 2015, offering everything you need to enhance your act.

First up, and familiar to all previous convention attendees, is Newcastle-based Magicbox. With nearly two decades of service under its belt this company has long established itself as one of the leading suppliers of magic tricks, props and accessories to both amateur and professional magicians alike and I’m proud to say they have been strong supporters of the STIMF Convention since the very beginning.

Magicbox will be at the STIMF Convention’s dealer zone from 9am to 6pm on Friday (March 13), 9.30am to 6pm on Saturday (March 14) and 10am to 2pm on Sunday (March 15).

A separate dealer showcase will also be held on Saturday. Entry to all of this is included in your convention ticket, priced at £65 for the weekend.
