The South Tyneside International Magic Festival has officially begun. Just days to go until the Convention aspect gets underway and there’s school shows and a Family Magic Extravaganza with Magicbox to enjoy before that – it’s going to be a great week!

Alas, my annual daily blog won't be around this year as due to personal problems, I am having to give the convention a miss this year for the first time ever.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Before the convention we have shows running in schools across South Tyneside this week. BBC Newcastle - Radio for the North East attended one in Jarrow yesterday and ran two lovely pieces. If you missed them listen again at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02kq022#auto (51 mins and 48 seconds in) and http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02kq02h (25 mins and 44 secs in). It's great to see young people getting interested in magic!

The South Tyneside International Magic Festival Convention is over for another year. Thanks to everyone who supported the 12th annual event, including our loyal sponsors Magicbox, media partner BBC Newcastle and all of the other performers, delegates, dealers and staff who helped make the event such an enjoyable success. A special shout out must also go to John Archer, who worked hard on stage and behind the scenes alongside the ever-energetic events team at South Tyneside Council. Please continue to share all of your stories and pictures from the STIMF Convention 2015 and I hope to see you all again next year!
