I'd love to assist in illusions

Postby Janeheywood » Mar 21st, '16, 23:48

Hi my name is jane I'm 33 and have loved magic and illusions since I was a kid. I would love to assist a magician and partake in various illusions. Can anybody make my wish happen.

Do you not have any local performers that you can contact? Seems to me that that'd be the place to start.

... or better still become the performer, rather than the assistant!

Hi Jane.. Seriously, consider looking up your nearest magic club, and join... This is where you will get the experience you need, and hopefully you can take it from there... Believe me, you will make many friends, and hopefully get plenty of leads to where you need to go ? Good luck.

I agree with SpareJoker.
Give magic a try for yourself first. Perhaps you'll fall in love with performing it and will need to find your own assistant.

And Garry is right too. Join a club if you can!

Thanks for your advise. Do you think I'd make a good assistant.

Depends on what you mean by assistant. Carrying props on and off is one way of assisting, being shoved into strange contraptions and apparently severed by sharp steel plates/swords is another! What sort of assisting would you like to do?

Those assistants tend to be of small stature, lithe and athletic most often dancers or with a similar background. All of which would rule me out!!! :D
