interesting..thats one way to describe that

I'd be ashamed to put something out like that...and I suck

There is so much editing of the backscreen, routine transitions, let alone the choppy editing during routines (either due to planning or bad editing), that all you can think of is video editing, for just about everything in that

The 1909 movie "The Man in the Moon" looks like film footage of the Apollo landing compared to that thing and magic..

Is this for real? The blue screening alone takes away any credibility they might have.

Marck are you just going to post links to your video or are you actually going to post anything of value on the forum?

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

Doesnt he look like Phil Mitchell. :)

I notice that this magician is based outside Europe.
This western style of presentation would indeed be new.I think that some looked a little old style for the west . Some reminded me a little of Franz Harary's earlier items.
The Assistant seems to be a good one. She's always there when needed, stands well, and is reasonably atractive.
It would be nice to have a larger screen to view the video on.
Thats my main thought on the site. :)

Well, if the video is of you, then sorry to be so harsh directly.
I'll freely admit I'm not as good as the performer in the video, and my video somewhere in the future..
The editing and video is what I critiuqe'd, maybe harshley, but deserved based on expectation <see below
I don't have to be better in magic then the performer in a video to critique a video. If David Copperfield came out with a video with those kinda of editing issues, everyone on this forum would blast it.

Magic Marck wrote:We don't look here video quality,we talk about magic, but as we see you don't understand too much.

And how much of Magic is Presentation? 50%/75%/90%
What ever the %, almost if not all will agree presentation is a LARGE part of magic..

The editing in that video destroyed the actual stage presentation.
The skill of the magician seemed to be there and he could be the greatest magician on earth, but because of the Video quality, each effect had that "suspect" of video editing around it.

Again I'm sorry for the harshness if this is yours...
But I critique based on the levels of the "implied" skill level of the person giving the performance..Its expectation of the implied payoff

A 12 year old who puts up a video of himself doing 2 card monte in front of his family will get praise and "good job" even if he flashes, stumbles..

The professional magician that posts on his web site a video clip of his performance with stage/lighting and the eye candy assistant will get the critique "worthy" of the expectations he has established..

Again, its not the magic I'm bashing..
If this is your video, then my suggestion/advice critique would me go back to the master tapes, don't do any fancy tranitsitions, segways and get rid of the special effects of the subjects coming in and out of frame.
Basically the longest uncut/unedited lengths of footage possible..
This will show off the magic of the Magic, more then the edited video

The page took so long to load, I couldn't be bothered to watch anything. Oh, and Markckck, please stop being so damn rude - why not follow the advice above and add some content to the forum for us to actually talk about. If you ask for a critique of the video, then discard it when you get opinions that you don't like, you appear like a spoilt child.

Mods: sorry, but I did say please at the start...

I agree with Zack, no need for agression on this forum, we all work in magic  Maybe posting an introduction would have helped

Ok blacksabre, thank you for your critique, but I don't think that your opinion is a reliable source.I didn't bargain so much malice in this forum, but this is normally when someone is different!

Well, I'll back up his opinion, at least on the second video - waaaay too much video editing for the flourishes. Looks like you kept refilming them and then edited them...

At the very least, use a transition effect to make a difference between cuts so that it's not so hard to notice them...
