My First Video

Postby trickyricky » Sep 28th, '05, 23:33

Well, there comes a time when every talkmagic-er makes their first video and feels brave enough (or maybe drunk enough) to actually post it. This is mine.

Its not the best quality, and there is no sound. Thats what you get for using a cheapo webcam. Its also because i have no patter for this trick because i watched it on a video which also had no sound, but figured it out anyway. That is where you (hopefully) come in, any ideas will be gratefully received! If anybody knows the name of it as well, that would be great!

Its also not the best performance ever, and i know i have done it better before, but any suggestions to help improve it or and criticism or comments at all would be very welcome!

Well thats enough of me now, so im going to hand you over to......me, in my ever so unflattering pixelated form.

I have a couple of comments, but overall a good trick!

1. Some magician in the past (I will be mobbed for forgetting his name ;)) had the idea of using A thru 4 for twisting effects - it's much clearer on the audience than having to remember which Ace has turned up already.

2. I would recommend trying not to rotate the first card so much on an Elmsley (although I must admit this is one of my faults too!). It looks a bit odd...remember, you only need a tiny part of the cards exposed to grab them.
