Perhaps someone from Channel 4 will see this and ... Cancel the show before showing another episode, make a public statment on national news, promising to NEVER show a re-run and burn all tapes in a sacraligous manar tonight .... maybe the could hog tie Barry and Stuart .... they deserve it more than Guy Fawkes. ehehe

Tonight's is the fifth show and the final one is next week.

The source there was the latest Magicseen mag which describes tonight's show as the fifth and then mentions the next show featuring June Whitfield as the voice of a cat, Stuart & Barry plaing Porn Dice and Peter Firman performing surgery on himself. However, next Friday's TV listsing show Peter Kay's Phoenix nights in that time slot. The sky TV guide also shows the lack of Dirty Tricks - perhaps someone from Channel 4 will see this and advise?

Yep still no me Sir Rawlins...though the 'Stuart and Barry playing with porn dice' was the bit I filmed...unless I missed that bit when I was distracted by a cold chinese! xx

Lucie, can you please phone Channel 4 and tell 'em there are several TM members eagerly awaiting your TV appearance - and can they let us all in on the secret of when it will be screened?!

Maybe they will release the series on DVD.
Imagine that Lucie... you can certainly call that a claim to fame if they do. :D
That is providing they use your bit !

Extract from Channel 4's own website http://www.channel4.com/corporate/4prod ... ent_2.html (I added the bold emphasis for clarity)
Earlier on Friday Nights: at 9.30pm, 10pm,
These should be big, exciting, entertainment formats and events. They could be either shot in studio or on location, should have a sense of originality and innovation and should look and feel distinctive. They will often be talent led and should have a distinct voice and sense of authorship. We occasionally commission shows with a reality element but only if they feature a significant amount of comedy and entertainment. In this important time slot, we will obviously have ambitions for their ratings performance but balanced with the desire to be bold. This is the more mainstream end of our output but what we consider mainstream on Channel 4 still shouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea Eg: Eight Out Of Ten Cats, Rock School, Derren Brown: Trick Of The Mind, Playing It Straight.

Later Night at 10.30pm, 11pm and later
This is the place for new talent and more edgy programming. We want things that are ahead of the pack; things that cause trouble and that make people talk. Again they should be original and innovative, have a distinctive voice and all that sh*te. This is where some of our most interesting programmes are scheduled – obviously we want all our shows to get watched but late on Friday nights is somewhere we can take more risks and try out new and controversial ideas. All broadcasters claim to have distinctive programmes but this is genuinely the timeslot where we commission shows that are often totally unlike any other broadcaster’s. Shows here are likely to be young in focus and the most successful should have both an edgy appeal and a talk of the playground factor. Eg Balls Of Steel, Bo Selecta, The Friday Night Project, Da Ali G Show, Dirty Tricks.

So there you go, if Dirty Tricks is designed to be the talk of the playground/appeal to school kids why is it shown so late at night?!

I e-mailed Ch.4 and asked if there's any news on the missing 6th programme (it's referred to on their website along with the other 5) and will let you know if and when they reply.

it is going to be shown at Christmas.
This came straight from one of the horses mouths so to speek.
Pete Firman to be exact, over at t' Bunny. :)

My guess is, it will be shown as part of a magic week on c4, or a magic evening.
This way, they dont have to make any new programes specificaly for the slot..

Thanks for the update - Magicseen mag was under the impression that all 6 would be shown in sequence rather than 5 with several weeks before the final programme. Daft way of scheduling things but I suppose that's the Ch.4 'style'!

On the same night there's a re-run of 'When Magic Tricks Go Wrong' which is worth it if only to put everyone off those 'Guess which cup/bag the knife/sharp metal spikey thing is under' routines and the controversial one where B&S try to replicate the Biblical Miracles.
