Is this allowed in the US? In Australia it's called collusion and is illegal. I would expect the US to have similar competition laws, but maybe not.
In any case, if the maker wants a product sold for $40 not $30, it can raise its wholesale price above $30. If there is room for a $10 profit on a $40 product, I would be very displeased.
We are seeing
retail $40 = retailer profit + wholesale price
PM $30 = PM profit + wholesale price
thus retailer profit is at least $10. This is retailer profit, not Sankey profit. Nobody can justify $10 operating costs over PM.
I did find a link to Jay Sankey's Astral Projection saying "Please note: This package does not include a DVD." just the props suggesting something is amiss here. Surely Jay can sue breach of copyright for this?
PM does have the lowest prices, but better than that is a match any price guarantee eg like on www.MJMMagic.com
I always find my low price on the web/ebay then email them to match it so I get the best of price and good service.
