Don England's fabulous Plastic Lady now comes with Doug Conn's Plastic Surgery routine. Doug has created a wonderful beginning sequence for the Plastic Lady that involves a very visual 3 Card Monte sequence. The spectators are unable to follow the "money card" and the magician offers to explain how the operator can manipulate it. The spectators are told that the money card is a special type of card called a plastic card. By pulling on it, the operator changes its length - and the spectators see the money card get LONGER. By pushing on it, the operator changes its width. Now the spectators see a WIDER card! Finally, by squeezing it, the operator can make it SHRINK TO A MINI SIZED CARD!!! This mind blowing routine remains one of the most visual card tricks ever invented.

I say:

I've had some great reactions with Diminishing Returns from the same stable, where the whole pack shrinks to half size but DR does need a table. The Plastic Lady routine is 'an in the hands' 3 Card Monte type routine which packs an additional punch when the money card starts to grow and then shrink. My initial reaction when it arrived and I first read the instructions was - 'this is scary, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do this' but a week later on I'm getting pretty confident with it. There's quite a lot to remember but its nowhere near as scary as I first thought. Check out the video and see what you think of the effect. I think its pretty cool.
As you might imagine, a short reset is required before you can repeat. Mine came with a Jack of Hearts not the Queen but I can live with that!

Overall: 8 out of 10
