Flourishes that get the best reactions?

Postby stevebo » Jan 28th, '06, 16:52

Just wondering what flourishes people do that get the best reactions from the audiences.

For me, the spring has attracted alot of attention and they always want to see the "shuffly thing" again. But yesterday, I had the best reaction ever... I did the Tornado Cut by Ashford Kneital and the reaction I got was "that was unreal!". I was so happy! :D

Other stuff that I do that get great reactions are armspreads and Molecule II cut.

Hmm...I can't do that many flourishes so I'm not an expert, but the Backpalm (if that's a flourish :?: ) seems to garner the strongest reactions of anything I do...

By the way, what is the Tornado Cut and where can you learn it?

It's not taught anywhere(well... not exactly). You just learn it from watching other people's videos. I learnt it from a secret source  . Dan and Dave's System shows the lead in into the cut... also I think Hit the Road shows Ashford's Tornado Production which utilizes the Tornado Cut to produce the 4 aces.

I made a small little video of the tornado cut and a false cut I created using it. Watch it here

is that the cut in your avatar?

i tend to do a couple charliers, that tends to impress them. then i whip out the butterfly cut and messup terribly and they are still pretty impressed :D . but laypeople just like the normal pretty fan, doesnt take much but they love it!

The normal fan they aren't too impressed with. I usually do a normal fan then a giant fan and they are dazzled by.

No, it's not the cut in the avatar.
