False cuts as utilities, rather than flourishes

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I like a flashy false cut, when used in the following context.
In card to pocket/wallet/forehead/etc... Depending on the crowd/table, I will say "...and I'm going to give you the deck to shuffle (start to hand them the deck, then pull back quickly) but I want you to shuffle a special way."
I proceed to do a REAL Flashy False Cut, their card still on top, and make a joke out of it. "First, this goes here, then that part goes there, flip this around, spin that, etc..." Most of the time it gets a laugh or people are flabbergasted and don't know what to say.
Perfect misdirection to perform a Ohe Handed TP... As I hand them the deck and gesture to "...just go ahead and mix them up any way you want. I just wanted to show off what I've spent the last 15 years of my life practicing alone, in my closet." (I think htis is a take on a Sankey line...) All dirty work done. But this is probably the only time I ever do something flashy. Hope this fits in the context of this thread.....................Cheer, JPV
