Can I just ask, is it NECESSARY that you use a muscle pass?
Here's an indication of how tricky they are: After weeks if not months of daily palm-crunching exercise, I used to be able to perform a reasonable muscle pass when I was concentrating on coins a lot. I'd got a firm and solid set of muscles developed in my palm, and squeezing the coin till it popped seemed easy.
Yeah, it started to hurt a bit. But I actually developed not so much 'harder' skin, but thicker skin in my palm. This made it even easier!
All of a sudden, I wondered "What am I going to use this for?"
There's the obvious "Coins falling up" effect, performed by John Cornelius... but aside from that, I found it a little bit of a let down. Sure, there's situations such as 3-fly where the muscle pass can add fizz, or even used as a sleight—but it's a knack which you may find you don't use as often as you'd think.
Gradually, I stopped doing it. And now, although I can happily classic-palm a stack of 5 half dollars, I can barely do a muscle pass.
It comes with a lot of effort, I'm afraid. The muscles take time to build, and of course, your hand needs to be very flexible to be able to 'fold' it correctly.
If you REALLY want to do it, persevere. Otherwise, ask yourself 'why' you want to achieve it. You could be spending your time more wisely.
