Goodbye magic

Postby Fireheat » Feb 16th, '06, 21:59

I like magic. But its time to move on.
Reasons why i quit:
- Its getting a little too expensive for me.
- Time to move on to another hobby. :D
- I've reached my goal, learn and know atleast three tricks with cards and coins and entertaining people.
- Due school i barely have time for myself

Is not like i won't coming online anymore, i'll still check the File Sharing section. (I like that section :D)
It was nice to be on Talkmagic, and i wish you all good luck with future things.
Wel... that's it i guess. Goodbye.

Sincerely,
Yi-man AKA Fireheat

It was a pleasure to have you participate as part of our vibrant online community. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say it's sad to see you leave. Good luck with whatever hobby you choose to pursue from here on forward, but take advice from me, if money is an issue, don't learn to play guitar. Any guitarists here (and I know there's a few) will tell you that it's not cheap, it's another area where C.U.P.S. will grab you by the balls toture you until you submit, so to speak.

Good luck

I was thinking the same thing but I didn't wanna say it

He's been bitten by the bug and now he'll be stuck on the quest for me ingenious tricks to amaze his friends and family.

Well, probably.

Sheesh yeah magic is so infectious and extremely addictive! I only started about a year ago (properly) and I was just going to do it now and then, you know read a book or two etc. but it now dominates all my time!

Good luck in the future and at school Fireheat

ME, I'm not hooked at all. I only spend a few minutes each day on magic related stuff. Some days, magic never even crosses my mind (anyway, now that Mrs dat is out of the room  )

Sorry to hear that, because, to do real crazy nice magic, all you need is a single deck of cards... can't see how that get's too expensive... Well well...

I waved magic goodbye too some time ago, and indeed learned to play the guitar 8) lol.

But last year I got back to magic after a break of about 6 months. It's just too much fun to quit doing.

So... now I play the electric guitar and do magic as well.

We'll see boy, I think you're back to magic in a short while and Rcarlsen you're right: a deck of cards isn't that expensive...

I wish you every success in whatever else you want to do and don't forget, you don't have to continually buy stuff or even perform to be interested in this crazy art of ours. Please call in from time to time, even if only to say,'Hi!' :) .

I gave up from the ages of 15 to 20. I think I am a much stronger perfomer for that time off as I've seen many guys just evolve into geeks and 'bedroom magicians' through not having broad enough interests.

I agree, but I also disagree - I go into the magic shop to buy 2 decks of bikes.

I come out with 2 decks of bikes, Annemann's Practical Mentalism (I think its called :?) and the three shell game.

I spent £20 on 4 items

Anyway, its sad to see you leave Fireheat, but I am sure you will be back on the boards in a couple of months

Goodbye!
