spider pen

Postby tommo764 » Feb 28th, '06, 16:10

Hi,

I have seen numerous magic/illusions shows on tv recently, and am desperate to have a go!

I am interested in buying the IT "spider pen". The reviews I have read have been very positive- has anyone had good/bad experiences with it?

As a complete novice, is it a worthwhile purchase or would I struggle?

Lastly- I have seen two different models of the pen: one is a chunky, novel looking one. The other is slimmer and more "pen-like". Is there any difference? ie. is one an updated version?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thank you

Thom

Shop around for the spider pen as there are now some significant differences in price. It was around £27 to £30 when it first came out but you should be able to get it for around £10 cheaper if not a little more.

Personally, I've heard of a few problems and some were up for sale as second hand within a few days of them being released.

If you're a beginner then I would recommend that you buy a reel (ITR) from someone such as http://www.magictricks.co.uk. They are a lot cheaper and ideal for learning whereas in my opinion the spider pen is for the more advanced ITR user.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Just noticed that this is a duplicate post - I've replied to the other thread.
