i always wanted to incorporate ventriloquism in my act but i could never find any good teaching material. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where i can find some teaching material. Nice work MagicTom, how long did it take for you to learn about that?

Great bit of venting.

Remember, your audience only sees your act once per booking so blunders are forgiven especially if your sidekick has got great character as your bear seems to have then the audience will be too busy laughing with him to notice if you make any small mistakes.

Lips moving- I point you to Roger de Coursey and Nookie bear, one of the greatest British vent acts ever. Roger moved his lips all the way through his act but I as a 14 year old never spotted it until someone told me and it still didn't spoil it for me.

Character look at Spit the Dog ( Bob Carolgees ) That dog made Tiswas on TV wghen I was young and yes I still have my Tiswas T shirt. Buy the DVD and watch Spit's 'This old Man ' routine with the custard pies. Bob screws it up when Spit misses a spectator but look how he gets out of it. Truly brilliant.

I am sure you will go a long way in the business and you are sure to make a decent living out of it as you are more than competent.
