Yeah that was great. I have been working on ventriloquism for the last five months. I would like to use it in my school performances. I do not want it to be a ventriloquism act though I want it to me a magic routine with ventriloquism in it. But it is hard to do do magic effects one handed. Even a change bag wont work very well because you don't have another hand to put anything inside the bag. Unless you use a bird vent figure and use its beak. I do not have a bird figure, my figure is a Magician. I am still trying to develop ways to use him in my show.

wow kwl

Well, you seem to have plotted a great character for your figure which is great! (I love the idea of him being a magician! ha!)

As far as tricks go,

I do childrens parties and my puppet is a small bear. (i have a figure too but i dont use him at childrens parties yet)

I use the drooping flower. (which ok isnt really a magic trick but a fun effect!)

And the DREAM BAG!. - I show the bag empty beofre i bring the puppet on. Then get the puppet. Chat about where the "boxes" have gone. He convinces me they are in there. magic words etc and then i pull out the boxes.

Hope thats of help!
You have to try and think of ways to adapt a trick so you can do it one handed. Even if that means doing half the trick before you bring out your puppet, then doing the"finale" of the trick with your puppet.

Obviously, some (and sadly alot of) tricks are just not possible to use one handed but they are out there.

BTW - Vent is great in schools and ifyou include magic aswell - even better.
Usually a great reaction in schools - not only from kids but from teachers too.
I had the chance to do lead assemblies for work experience.

Yeah it's set on private mate. Also, why not give the link to Baz's website with video because that's good.

Cheers,
