Mindfuge

Well, over the past few months Ive gathered up a lot of mentalism items. In a couple of weeks, I'll be going to see derren brown's live show ( for the second time) and hopefully that will pump up my mentalism juices even further. Im planning on putting together a mentalism show at my school. The main target audience will be from 11-15 year olds.
Thoughts on the project so far:
Relatively short - 15 mins
Everything practiced to the bone
Name- 'Mindfudge'
Well prepared before show
Tricks-
Heirloom, the hidden, two wrongs, a couple of andy nyman effects, a couple of derrens

Luckily, a magic show from last year has taught me a lot. And I mean that. I was very nervous. I even swore in one of the tricks, without being aware. Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. The 'experimental opener' failed miserably, and it when downhill from there. I expect this show will be far superior, as mentalism is a question mark in many of my co-workers heads, and I will plan it for a long time. I expect tthe show to play a couple of times of times in a month or two

Any advice or further thoughts you coulde give me?
Thanks in advance

Practice and Rehersal are your best friends when putting together someing like this.

Heirloom, the hidden, two wrongs, a couple of andy nyman effects, a couple of derrens

That sounds like quite a lot to get through in 15 minutes, especially with mentalism where you are almost obligated to be wordy. Make sure you have a full rehersal to estimate how long it takes and then try and anticipate as many different possible scenarios as you can.

and of course good luck.

I noticed that too - that's seven effects you have there and if you're doing 15 minutes that's just over 2 mins per effect.

I don't have Heirloom but I'm fairly sure that it would be pretty much ruined if you ran through the effect in two minutes.

Can I just mention: mentalism and 11 year olds will be a huge struggle!

I think you've misinterpereted!- the effects I listed are those that I'll bear in mind when constructing the show. I'll only be using 3 or 4 in total.

I realise this, but I think those that will pay to see the show will have considered what they're buying into, before the performance. I am relatively well known throughout the school for my magic, and I'm pretty sure my fellow students will enjoy the show. But thanks for the tips and consideration guys! :D
