Just bought the G2 - gold. Looks just like a wedding ring, even my wife who hates men wearing rings thinks it looks OK. Its not suspicious at all - brilliant!

I would buy a PK ring if I could find somewhere that did them in size Z :cry:

If anyone comes across a source then please let me know.

The Circumference of my ring finger is 9.6 cm or 96 mm.

I think that this makes the diameter 47mm if I can still remember my geometry :lol:

Circumference = Pi x Diameter Therefore Diameter = Circ/Pi which in your case is 96/3.1416 = 28.1mm, which is VERY large. The standard "large" size is 23mm diam. (measured internally).
It is difficult to measure the circum. of your finger and you could easily have made a mistake. I checked my ring size against a normal key ring which is 21mm internal diam

Ok I think I will finally get one of these. But.. what one do I get? I live in Canada, so I'd rather not purchase one from the UK. Can anyone link me to a good one to start with? Preferable not too expensive, but decent as well. Thanks a lot.

Thanks Lownatic for the workings of that equation which was still beyond me :lol: it was never one of my strongest subjects :lol:

However, the measurements given were indeed correct and I do have very large hands :oops:

PK Ring ? why do you need it for ?

Postby super mario » Sep 13th, '07, 12:09

Hi, this subject I see has bein hereb for quite a whille.

I have see most answers about this, but actually, I have an interesting question here about this.

As a mentalist myself, i have to say that I have never used a PK ring
in my life.
There are some other subtilities witch will allowd you to preforme all sorts of differents effects, and at the end of it, show both hands totally empty.

Now I am on tour in morocco for six mont (royal comand preformer here)
and I can tell you that the most dificult and suspicious audiences you can get, are the arabic poeple.

GET MY WORD GOR IT.
About a month ago, I got cesaral ESP calculator, that comes together with a pk ring.
I did preforme some effects for some friends here, actually just to practice with it, before preforming seriously for large audiences (rehearsing).
A couple of times, i had poeple examining my hands, and heard some comments about my ring.
they are so suspicious...that i got the message, and did go back to my old system, when needing PK effects.

I dont know if you know about my last publicity stunt, here, in witch I DID STOP WITH THE ONLY HELP OF MY MIND, THE BIG CLOCK OF THE BUILDING OF THE POST OFFICE OF RABAT.

(whant a video, send me your private emaill)

Why i tell you this?
Because before preforming this street stunt, we convoqued a press conference to announce publicly, what i was going to do in a couple of weeks time? (to get media attention)

And for a month everybody stop me in the streets, asking me questions about it, and logicly, I had to do in the streets as impromptus a lot ,key bending, forks bending (whille having lunch in restaurant) and a lot of WATCH STOPPING.

But, always WITH OUT A PK RING ON ME;
If some of you will like to know, I dont mint to tell you , but you have to send a PM to me.

Getting back to the subject of witch size, witch type, ....of pk to get,
the best ones are the NEODYMIUM ONES.

Get one of those, and go, not to a Jeweller;
You can mahe it smaller by taking it to one of those special wokshops that
made special parts with this big machine that turns around at hight speed, (in frenc is call TOURNEUR, sory but dont know in inglish)
And if he do it carefully, you can hav it at the size you want
CAUTION;
NEODYMIUM magnets, are like diamonds.
very hards, but very fragile. The break easily.

Hope all this help someone

pk

Postby REMO08 » Oct 4th, '07, 00:10

if you cannot find another way to suit you well, buy one from penguinmagic.com. they have like 10 or 15 sizes availible to choose from. go to a jeweler to learn your specific size, some do that for free. at this specific site, the rings cost 22.50 usd & there is free shipping on them, which takes at most two weeks to come in. be sure to find the right kind for you, i would suggest the "WIZARD G2 RING" because it is cleverly designed just as a wedding band to avoid any suspicion of any kind & comes inside a very cool case to put it in if you are taking a shower, going swimming, etc.

does anyone know if the pk rings are waterproof? i wanna go into a pool & try something with one, but im afraid it will be ruined.

Re: Waterproof

Neodymium is based on iron. Iron is ferrous. Ferrous metals rust really easily when exposed to moisture.

Therefore, the Wizard range of rings are coated with multiple layers of metal BEFORE the gold or silver coating, to ensure that moisture is kept on the outside.

Although the ring is coated in a very high quality set of metals, there's always the chance that it has become chipped or cracked.

So—if your Wizard ring is NOT cracked or chipped in any way, it should be ABSOLUTELY FINE for use underwater.

However, I cannot say the same for other brands of ring, as I've heard horror stories from people who've even just splashed the rings by accident.

where?

Postby REMO08 » Oct 5th, '07, 22:13

where are you guys buyin ur pk rings from? cheap-o-depot? you gotta buy them from penguinmagic.com. they assure the lowest prices below list price, and if any of their products break, like my first sts gimmick (but that was all my fault, i yanked too hard to reset), they will give you a new 1 for free or your full money back-and thats guaranteed. as both a magician & a member of the site i must say they are the best place to order from. :wink:

If you buy an ORIGINAL and GENUINE WIZARD brand PK ring, you have a lifetime RTB guarantee too.

Penguin are good—granted. But they are definately not the best place out there! I could vouch for them in say—2003... but not these days!
