OK...the levitation works by selling you a pair of gimmick shoes that have soles that can get thicker when you take your weight off them. You have to stand on tiptoe and then the soles will get thicker and float you off the ground.

Sorry,

Kati

That says to me that he knows how its done. And its not difficult to answer the question without giving it away. No?

You need to consider the slackness of your 'props'. You might also want to come down and then wait. Whilst everyone is reacting and talking about what you have done, do the dirty move then. I've even managed to use my hands to help me return to normal afterwards if you wait for the right moment.

Does that help?

You may get less aggressive answers if you avoid the text speak and use a spellchecker. Download the google toolbar it has one built in. That goes for you too Joli.

Johndoe has a point...although you may well own the effect you don't really have a good way of proving it so first impressions really count. If you come on the board saying something like:

hi i can do the levitation its just getting back to normal onecs iv "floted" does any1 have any ideas on how to get back to normal without people seeing whats going on ????????????????????????????????????

that immediately gives people a bad opinion of you. Try spending another minute and writing

Hello everyone!

I am having a problem with ellusionist's King Rising and I wondered if anyone could help me with it?

I can do the levitation but I have trouble getting back to normal once I've 'floated'. People seem to be able to see what's going on when I try it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to cover the move?

Thanks!

which will give a much better impression and make people more inclined to help you.

By the way, I may have implied that I own King Rising - although I think I know how it works I don't have much use for a levitation and I don't own it.

I think Self levitations have had their day. If I'm going to use one it would be the lean but that is definetly not impromtu.

So many peope are aware of the balducci and king rising isn't that far off.
Superman is probably the best of the lot in my opinion.

After you come back down take your jumper or jacket, hold in front of you and say "most magicians cover themselves like this when they levitate-it looks much better without it dont you think?"under this covering of your legs you can do the work in a second.

Not sure why I thought I'd make the effort but I don't like self levitations either...they're so tacky.
