Help With a Chameleon Deck

Postby tgspec » Apr 8th, '06, 16:04

I'm an advanced beginner, learning to do a little close-up.

Problem: I bought a Chameleon Deck and the instructions are in French. :?

The deck has a double-backed card, and a double-faced card (Q-2).

What's the effect and secret?

Go on babelfish tranlsation.
French to English.

Easy!

Alternatively, type the instructions out and send em to me.
My french aint bad...

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

That helps...at least a little.

Good. Now all I have to do is figure out if there were printing errors or bad grammar in French, or a bad translation into English.

Handy translation site, though.

Err bad translation I'd guess.

Tip; only have a sentence at a time translated, and try and use some key words such as "avec" (with) "carte" (card) and the like.

Hmmmm

I actually wrote and produced the instructions for the Chameleon Deck. I am curious at this comment, because there's never to my mind been a French version.

Very interesting.

Sorry Seige -

In actuality, it's not a Chameleon Deck with French instructions, it's a Cameleon Deck...

...definitely French, though!

There are two Chameleon decks.

There's the Seige deck which is definately in English as I have this (recommended) and then there's the Dominique Duvivier deck which may be the one in French. I'm only guessing but there's a hint in the name

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Actually, I only wrote the booklet, the deck is the brainchild of WorldMagicShop (the creators of the WizardPK ring). :D
