How long does a Bicycle deck last for you guys?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Well I could use a bike deck for like 2 months haha itas just it wouldnt be very nice. My friend Jared is a good magician also and he uses a deck for about 2 months. But for myself I love to fan cards, im kind of a show off that way. He just likes worn in decks to spring them and all that stuff. But what it comes down too is the magic trick. And I always like having a new deck to perform.

Well we all have our own opinion don't we? I like new deck that's been riffle shuffled and dribbled a good few times. Doesn't warp the deck much but gives it a bit of life. For me it bridges the gap nicely between a new deck and one that some XCMer has been messing with for a day.

Got to agree - like a new deck thats been 'warmed up a little'. I don't tend to perform that often, so I have an old deck (ive had it for years now!) that i play about with - riffle shuffle and fancy cuts etc, and a couple i tend to switch between when performing, which I replace when they get grubby which isn't too often luckily.

I'm fairly new with card tricks, so especially during the low key time of the year (with school, that is), I have a pack of cards in my hands about 5-6 hours a day. That leads me to change my deck every week or so. It must be the excitement of learning a new hobby, lol.

I live in Canada and I picked up a brick of bicycles for $35 CAD including tax, which isn't too bad I guess!

Before, the issue was not wanting to open a brand new pack, because of the guiltiness that it will become frayed, it was a sickness! :D

I tend to use standard bicycles a lot, but recently I have just got some ghost cards, I dont really use them for performance, well not yet....they have a real good quality feel to them, have been playing with them for 2 weeks non stop now and they still feel great.
I also have some Tally Hos that I play about with and peform with, I really like these cards, they handle really well and they look nice too. Oh and i have just got some Jerry Nuggets too :D , im into XCM a bit and these cards feel so different to any other cards.

Back on the subject of matter, normal bicycles usually last me 3 to 4 weeks.

If you have a Costco near you they sell bricks of Bikes for $13 - that's just over $1 a pack which is a good deal.

I just bought 24 packs!

They are in the book section and dvd section. And as for the last response im sorry but im not sure if there would be a costco there or not. Its just a huge place where you get a membership for 50 dollars, but the deals are great. I have no idea if Costco is only in Canada or if its worldwide.

Mine usually last until I run out. I do mostly signed card effects. Once do perform about 20 signed card effects your deck is pretty much shot.

But I always save those left over cards and keep them in a box just encase I every need a duplicate and also those old cards are great for practice.
