No need to sign the coin it is undoubtedly the coin on the rubber, the spec can even push it through if there is any doubt.

But no, you can't really sign it first.

I am baffled as to the notion of signing the coin... there is no DOUBT that the coin on the top is the coin which travels through the rubber. As mentioned, the spectator can even push it themselves... how much more proof do you need?

The fact that the coin never leaves sight dispels a switch.

I agree that a 'signed' object being used in an effect is a great convincer, but the nature of PenaCoin is such that there is usually enough amazement by the speccy. You can literally give them the glass/jar with the rubber secured over the top and the coin inside for full inspection.

It's just one of those effects which is almost totally self working, and there's a little beauty in that.

True. If the coinf ever left the audience's sight then there would be some point in having it signed but as it does not there really is none whatsoever.

Hey! For once i know what a trick is that is being discussed, and further more i own it! Although when i bought it, it was called Visible Coin Penetration.

I found that once i had managed to set it up correctly the first couple of times, after that it was a lot easier to do. You may find it easier if you use a smaller coin, say a 5p piece, to start off with. Also try not to use your fingertips or wear rings or have long nails when you "push and pull" because they tend to make it easier to wear and tear the gimmick. Wish i could tell you more but im not sure what else i can say! Hope this helps!

Greetings

I have been going through my magic recently and came across this trick and decided to have a wee tinker.

I can perform the trick well and it goes down beautifully and even though I know you are not supposed to ever perform a trick a second time I was asked what if I chose the 2p so I performed it again and they were even more astonished.

Does anyone know of a different routine that can be used to present this trick as I feel it is so strong and wondered if there were different presentations around?

Hope you can helps

Dean

P.S

If you do not own this trick next time you are looking for an effect buy it as its cheap easy to do and packs a great punch.

D.

Hi Dean,

I have a question?

When you repeated the trick did you use a second glass/sheet or did you reset on the spot? I do this effect and I can't set it up impromptu!

So I can not see how it can be repeated on the spot!

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!
