Hello everyone my name is Kevin, I am very new to magic and I joined this forum in hopes of finding a good starting point for beginners. I became interested in magic after I picked up a copy of a Kings Levitation video from a friend. I practiced the trick and I must say I was pretty amazed with myself and I totally baffled my family.

I have always been interested in street magic and I was wondering if anyone could maybe help me out or point me in the rite direction.

Thanks,

Kevin

:) Hi, and welcome to TM. I bet you will like it here, I have learned a lot since I joined. I don't know too much about street magic, but good luck on finding help on it. :D

Ahhh, thank you for the advice! I am glad I found this site though, because I was about to start off in way too advanced magic and that wouldn’t have been good at all :( ! Although it pains me it seems as though I am going to have to start off at the basics :x . Any more advice or input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

Helllooo and welcome, are you looking at cards coins sponge etc. if all then. for street get yourself born to perform by oz pearlman this will cover card, little bit of coin magic comes in the shape and form of coin magic by jb bobo, or the complete introduction of coin magic by michael ammar.

I am interested in coin and card magic, but I've always swayed more towards levitation (of myself and objects) that’s why I said I was glad I found this forum because I was about to purchase the M5 System which would have been a mistake I think.

Hello and welcome. It takes a long time to get the basics but stick with it.

Why a mistake? I bought the M5 when it first came out and it's still one of my favourite pieces of kit, versatile and magical. I've just ordered a Monster Bertha from Siege, have a look at that too: http://www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk/mark ... p?cPath=30

Oh... and welcome!

Yea? I just thought that the M5 system would be a little advanced for some one new like me. Besides I'm more into the street levitation thing, but I guess I should broden my horizons.

Anyway that MONSTER Bertha Neo Magnet looks great, you can probably realy scare some people with that thing! Seems it would be a bit heavy though.
