I believe Tesco, Asda and Woolworths have soft cutlery for very cheap.

Erm... if you try to FIND the perfect fork (he he he...), it is obvious that you will fail. Forks that might be used for liquid metal are the ones that comes the most easily by. Try the dollar shops, Wal-Marts and any other "cheap" store. If you pay more than a dollar (shilling, pennny, pound or whatever your British equivalent is) for 5 then they are not what you are looking for. Wasnt it clearly explained in the video? (Turn on: Suspcious mode ;)!)

There's a thread already on this topic.

I preferred Asda's Smart Price but they have recently changed their fork and they're now totally impractical for this routine. I'll now have to try at Tesco's.

Fortunately I have around 200 of the old Asda forks stockpiled so these will last a while yet

The video clearly says "I like the Dominion Forks. You can buy them at Wal-Mart for 6 for 2 dollars."

Thanks,

Its a long drive to Wal-Mart from London... I think they're Asda over here, but if you've already tried there then I don't know, I don't have this video myself so I don't know if it says anything else...

The Wilkinsons chain of stores also sell very suitable spoons and forks.

Agreed - Wall Mart is too far from old Blighty  No-one over here has heard of Dominion and I've asked through the catering trade.

I found the Wilkinson forks too brittle and they tended to SNAP when doing the corkscrew.

I've used the cheap wilkinsons spoons for bending (they're about £1 for 5, but as has been said they can snap quite easily if your not careful

Asda (that's our version of Walmart, to you yanks - please, give the lad a break...!) have indeed changed their forks. I went to get some from them the other day and carelessly bought 5 packets before I realised they're stiffer than [insert dubious comparison here].

Glad to hear Wilkos have saved the day, once again - they always do :D

That's a real bummer, they were the best. Has anyone tried writing to Asda & asking for their previous fork supplier details ?
