Right...I found the Real Man's Wallet on world-of-magic.co.uk for £21 which sort of settled it as that was cheap and in the UK. 1 wallet should hopefully start winging its way across the country to me tomorrow :D

That looks damn good actually.

I've been after a a good wallet for ages, and this looks like it could be used everyday and for magic!!

I think I'll be buying this aswell.

Kati, are you going to be using this for Oz Deposit??? I sure will, just need to make up some of those sparkle matches.

My idea was originally to use a fire wallet for Oz Deposit as I thought that would lend some nice continuity to the fire idea (i.e. you access your bank through fire). He did say that if the sparkle match didn't work you could just drop in the match but I still don't see why that shouldn't burn through the envelope.

And my parents don't want me to buy any fire stuff :(

I saw a few weeks ago a "card to wallet" wallet (I think with palm load but I'm not sure) that also functions as a flaming wallet, really wanted it but I skipped it because I'm saving money for a nice fat magnet.

I can try to look for it again, I'll edit if I find it.

You're probably thinking of the Kaps On Fire wallet - and xxjustinukxx is selling one right now for £8.50 in the (old) Magic for Sale area. If you hurry you might get it!

Has anyone ever actually shooped with world of magic in the past, any feedback on them?

It's just I've never bought with them and don't know what there like.

Nothing - and to be honest that was where I would have gone if I didn't need a new wallet anyway :) As I did I figured it was worth spending a bit more and getting a CTW for that extra impossibility.

EDIT: see later post

There is no logical reason to put the card on on the deck in before revealing it. Most people will realise that if you're going out of your way to do something for which there is no genuine motivation then it must be part of the method. If it really was their card in the wallet then you should be able to show it as soon as you produce it from the wallet and spectators know this even if they don't put it into words.

If you have a wallet with a window (like SDs) they can see it's their signed card before you even take it out. In comparison to being this clean putting an indifferent card on the deck in order to perform a switch is like asking someone to look away while you make their coin disappear.

What you call heroism is just an expression of this fact; there is never a scarcity of idiots

I'm not sure it's quite that bad :P. It definitely is not as nice having to turn the card over on the deck but it should be fairly easy to come up with a motivation for it - ie a 'special' card in the wallet as per Peter Marucci's Anytime Card in Wallet and the gesture of leaving the wallet on the table should be sufficient to take the card in the hand with the deck for a second or two.

But a CTW is nicer to have!

By the way, I emailed World of Magic and it turns out that they shipped yesterday but didn't send a confirmation notice (so the wallet should turn up tomorrow). If that's the case then it was very good service so ignore my previous comments.

Yes Charles, there is no logical reason to put the card on the deck in a magicians point of view, but try it and see how many people ask you why did you put the card on the deck.

I place the card onto of the deck on the off-beat as I ask them now what was your card, and boom, I turn it over, then I get rid of the indifferent card using a Marlo move (the name escapes me at the moment, but I got it from Sankeys Secret Files Vol. 1, the one where you burn the card)

I do agree that it looks much better seeing it through a window or them being able to remove it from the wallet themselves, but a DL does me fine ;)

Cool - we agree :)

The move is the KM move (Kardiro Marlo I think...)

I think your refering to the KM Move. :D

I agree with Charles, there is no logical reason to bring the card back to the deck, when I do card to wallet, with a normal wallet and a palm, I put the deck aside so there is no possibility of switches at this point.

I also sometimes, put the deck back in the box, so all the attention is on you and what your doing, by this time, the card is loaded and ready to reveal.

Allowing them to see it through the Clear panel is just perfect in my opinion.
