Now all they need to do is make Tally Ho's with 4 pips haha jk.
Although that would look sweet.

No Thanks!!!!

Keep Tally's double index as they should be!!!!

4 index cards look too 'busy' no good for impromtu 'nudist' or hideouts in a face down deck.

If you want 4 index cards, left handedness I can see a need though many top names don't use them, Darwin Ortiz for example, Piatnick make poker and bridge size cards with four indices.

Cheers,
john

I disagree about that in the sense that it would be impossible to do a normal THUMB fan with a plastic deck. Maybe a side spring fan with a plastic deck would be possible but because of the physical properties of a plastic deck, it is impossible to fan normally with them. So learn the Side Spring Fan! :D (Encyclopedia of playing card flourishes)

But those cards are so expensive. I just ordered manipulation cards from hocus pocus yesterday. Nielsen manipulation cards, and murphys white back manipulation cards. Although I will use them for manipulation and not for normal tricks, these are the only cards I have seen with the 4 indices. And they were both over 10 bucks grrrr.

Man if there is one thing I have the most problems with in magic its a pressure fan. I have been practicing this forever and still cant do it at all.....I dont know why. My thumb fan, one handed fan both looks really well done. But when it comes to a spring fan wow you would think I was a beginner.

Hi Again,

Sorry about the expensive cards where you are Piatnics about £2.00ish a deck over here.

Up until very recently USPCC cards were really expensive in the UK, I was paying around £3.00 a pack in 1998, (Tally Ho, Bikes were about 50p cheaper) I can now get them for £1.50 a pack, or even better £17.50 a brick
makes a nice change from the usual course of inflation! :D

TylerD have you tried ordering from a UK site, like cards 4 magic?
I did order from the USA a few times and it was cheaper, even with the extra shipping, just a thought?

Good luck,
John

When it comes to card manipulation and flourishes Tally-ho wins, it's just way smoother then bicycle, and the backs fit perfectly to fans, also they are rather strong so they can go through bands and beating without really getting destroyed. Although I wouldn't suggest to any one that want to start card manipulation to start with Tally-ho because the slickness of the cards can be hard for beginners to adjust to.

When it comes to plain magic with cards I will have to go with bicycle, first they are thinner then Tally-ho, which is maybe a downside when it comes to practice, but the other way around when performing, also they are a bit more flexible which again is good for a lot of things. Also the fact that they are less smooth then Tally-ho gives you more control on things, like making bolder moves while doing DL without worrying the cards will slide off each other or move.

The only problem with Tally-Ho is that they are not as common as Bikes. More than once when I was performing with Tally-Hos, I got accusations of using a trick deck. That doesn't happen nearly as much when you use Bicycle. Besides. You can get 9 packs of Bikes for 12 dollars at
Cost-Co. :D

i dunno if its just me but i seem to prefer tallys.

when i first started in amgic almost a year ago bikes were everywhere and so they were my first deck and awesome they were because i was used to plastic coated cards. yes im a fool!

haha anyway i decided to get some tallys when ordering from magicbox and they were well i think maybe slightly thicker if anything and work with the snap change a whole lot better but maybe its just me.

id like to see what the whole tigers, ghosts and masters buzz is all about so ill have to ask seige if NUMS will be getting any masters decks in soon!

EDIT: tallys are cheaper then bikes now @ magicbox so go get a deck of each or a case! because even if tallys arnt better for u they wont be any worse.
