Ah, I've just packed up having realised the time. You got me sidetracked onto Twisting the Aces. I haven't performed it for a while and had to see how my handling stood up.

I was taping a walton routine to show off my new erdnase handling. Been working on it for a while now and finally got the kinks ironed out when I was away on holiday last week. Difficult to tell if it will work in the context of a routine, but I've kinda fallen in love with it.

Heres the handling, still working up the routine. Erdnase Handling.

Whoa! Not bad at all! I want to learn that handling now...

My Erdnase looks a bit well... c*** (not the best) compared to that

Thanks.

I've been trying to get away from the shotgun erdnase you see everyone doing (thanks to numerous DVDs :x ). I saw Euan Bingham perform it (see Erdnase ) and I sat up and saw that I was simply going through the mechanics and not finessing the move at all. Not selling it, if you know what I mean.

I haven't got the finger work Euan has in his video, and I'm pretty sure he has a different handling, but I'm getting there. I'm mainly pleased that I've come up with a handling that solves the specific problems I was looking at and now its a case of getting the presentation right. For the avoidance of doubt, I am doubtful this is an original handling, I just haven't seen it in print before.

Either way, it's very good :D
I read in the Restricted Access area something about how you modified it so I'll have to learn that move and then give it a go.
I think I learnt my Erdnase off some Elusionist DVD months ago.

This was of course before I realised that E overhyped and oversold everything.

"This is one of the most astonishing colour changes ever" etc.
Well it would have been, if only they'd taught the way you do it...

To be fair to E they are no different from anyone else with regards to teaching the technique.

I've removed the references in the restricted area, as I'm trying to track down who originated the technique. I was a bit too enthusiastic ... plus I added my thoughts to a year old thread.

Never anything good on TV mate.

And in my opinion, TV is the catalyst of the destruction of the 21st Century Generation.

But nevermind eh

I'm so bored I'm contemplating getting drunk. But I have no friends to get drunk with :(

Hey there. Bored eh? Yeah once I was so bored I tried the getting drunk alone thing, whilst I wrote an email, which explained what I was doing step by step. Then I emailed that to my friends. That was the closest thing I could think of to going out with my mates while actually remaining sat at home! It was quite sad. The account involved me downing a pint of larger (yes I downed a pint at home on my own) :? including various "drinking chants" in the text. :( oh dear

Oh dear :(

you poor lad. Are you alright after it now though?

I decided to not get drunk on my own. Instead, I managed to persuade my mate to drive an hour to come see me, so I dont have to get drunk on my own! Woohoo!

However he wont be here for anotehr 40 minutes
