Magic Store and Supplies in Shanghai

Postby smatatko » Sep 17th, '06, 14:05

I'm based in Shanghai for the next couple of months and I was hoping that someone might know of a Magic/Card supplies store in the city. The place is enormous. I've asked some of the locals but no joy yet

Thanks

I think your chances are pretty slim.

China's not the most "magic" type places in the world. Shanghai... maybe but still quite slim chances.

it's not Shanghai, but if you get down to Hong Kong there is a Magic store close by the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre near Wan Chai. i hv not had much luck finding a good store in China.

Really?! Now I'm all hyped up! Being "Hong Kong"ese, I would love to know where it is so that I can find that shop when I go HK (hopefully next summer).

Magic Store

Postby Allen Tipton » Sep 18th, '06, 19:44

:)SMakato: Stevebo. If you can get to Hong Kong surely The Chu Magic store is still there. Run by Peter Chu ( I think he was the son of the original owner.) for years. Used to advertise in Geneii. I think it's on Kowloon. My Dagger Head Chest, all decorated with pagodas & temples etc.came from there years ago. It is a very old established form. You often get their cheaper ranges in UK magic Shops. I'd love an up dated copy of their catalogue.
