You may want to remove the quoted bit from your post, Lawrence, as the contents of the original post have been removed. Just means people can still see what rattlestar wrote ;)

i just wanted to let everyone know that I'm excited about finally releasing FRAUD to the magic community...i have been sitting on this effect for a while now, and didn't plan on releasing it, but when i was out shooting with ellusionist, brad convinced me.

to answer a few questions:

1. i dont know if it can be done with forgien money...but i like the idea of having an american bill in another country and saying "THIS is why i like OUR(fill in your country here) currency" ... it will make it a great effect.

2.***YES*** the bill can be signed on BOTH sides, i prefer the back of the bill becuase it adds suspence, not going to get into the whole psychology right now...but just know that there was alot of thought put into this effect.

3. and YESSS you can see the seal BEFORE you move it...i know it doesn't show it on the preview, but you can see the WHOLE ENTIRE BILL normal, before the seal is moved...

4. NO you dont lose money performing this effect...you borrow a bill, you give back a bill... NO MONEY LOST...and yes they can keep the altered bill in its changed condition.

6. Your hands are seen empty BEFORE and AFTER the effect.

I LOVE performing this effect...it was one of my most requested effects when i was performing trade shows and corperate walk around effects..everything is clean, there is no funny moves or awkward handeling...everything is NATURAL. There are a few top notch magicians who are performing this effect right now...and all of them have called me and told me how much they LOVE the effect...I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

thanks

Daniel Garcia

nice work Daniel Garcia. im looking forward to the release of it. but is everything impromptu and borrowed? i mean, is there any gimmicks or there is a method that only you and the devil knows which can move the seal on a borrowed bill

Direct quote from an ellusionst staff member:

"While it is not impromptu, the effect does use the spectator's borrowed, signed bill. Reset takes about 30 seconds-- I performed it at a party Monday night to two different groups of friends; they were blown away."

however ellusionist markets it as:

ONE Borrowed and Signed Bill
ZERO Props
ZERO Reset
MAXIMUM Impact

This brings me to the following questions...

Is this a contradiction..? Seems like it's gimmicked in one essence and in the other, it's ungimmicked. Second question I'm wondering, how hard is this to do as it really isn't impromptu.

I don't think it's very much of a contradiction as it is just advertising. I mean a 30 second reset is pretty much nothing anyway...so it has to be easy enough to the point where you could do it in like ten.

Thanks,

Romano - it's hardly a contradiction - nothing in the ad says it is impromptu - just that it uses a borrowed, signed bill.

E did another trailer for FRAUD, which shows a bit more.

Watch it here: http://www1.ellusionist.com/order/Fraud-by-Daniel-Garcia-X92.php

Daniel you impressed me again with this effect. But since doller is not my currency, I'm gonna wait a little.

Now normally the very fact that an effect is hyped out of the water by ellusionist is enough to put me right off it, no matter how good it turns out to be. In this case though I'm getting really annoyed with myself because I'm a big Garcia fan and it does look very impressive. Could someone stateside please get this and review it soon so I can have some impartial answers? Please?

Yeah that's true, but if there is a gimmick, that is definitely a contrdictory statement.. as they are advertising it as no props and saying it has a zero reset.

I don't know if it's just me, but there's a huge difference between getting a zero on an exam versus receiving a 30.
