It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

That is so funny but also makes me angry at the same time. Some mug will fall for it.

Well, they are first editions, which are quite rare.
A collector might want a deck.

So what makes a first edition?

As far as I was aware the first edition were the all white pips and the second edition were the red and white pips.

So is there a first and second edition of the white pip Tigers and if so, how can one tell?

I recall that when they were released I bought some from Ellusionist as I'm sure many others did. I can;t tell the difference between these and the later ones to be honest.

There was a run of 5000 decks produced a year or two before the better known white/red.
They were the same design as the white pipped deck but the quality wasn't as high.
I've no idea how to tell the difference - the boxes look the same.

If it really is a first edition, it's really only of interest to collectors.

Us magicians are better off using the higher quality second editions.

To be fair, if it contains the 6 DVD set of 'Green Magic' by Lennart Green, the price tag may be justifiable, as these retail at around £160 on their own... and just happen to be on my wish list, hmm.

Given that, I suppose that's more like it, if they are originals and not copies. I misread (or skipped that part) and was under the impression that there were only 6 DVD's in total.
