Disclaimer: Reverend Lewis has neither threatened to hex me, curse me and unfortunately nor has he offered me vast sums of filthy dollars to review this material.
Further Disclaimer: My general thoughts on this side of things, is mixed. I cannot say for definate that there is or isn't anything in the art of Palmistry. I have an open-mind.
Addition to the above further Disclaimer: If comments are made just to inflame or critise individuals purely from the stand point of not agreeing with anothers point of view - i shall delete this...so there...
I have not ever seen nor met a 'true' psychic. Yet i'd like to believe there are such people on this earth. Whether
you agree or not, is nothing to do with me. I enjoy discussing this and other related issues - but i feel personally, that a little uncertainty is sometimes a good thing in life.
I'm not a 100% skeptic, I'm also not a fan of organised religion. I feel it is up to the individual to develop their own beliefs as they progress in life.
I thoroughly enjoy the art of cold-reading, and am a fan of Ian Rowland and Kenton Knepper. I openly admit to not knowing much about these skills - but feel i owe it to myself to investigate the tarot, palmistry and any and all other arts that i deem interesting enough to spend my hard earned money on. I have also began to investigate the other side of the coin too - the spiritual, the metaphysical, the shut-eye methods....
I feel you should know all this before i review this material.
Review
This is a teach-in (part 2 of 3 courses covered by Mr. Lewis - numerology/palmistry/tarot). What do you get? What's involved? Well - you get a very honest, almost painfully so view from Reverend Lewis.
He believes in the palmistry "20%", the rest is intuition and cold reading.
There is also a recommendation to look into Richard Webster's books on these subjects. Throughout you are urged to learn the real stuff. The correct vernacular, the shut-eye way.
Reverend Lewis does cover a little of the flim-flam, the bunko booth, the cold reading methods; but for the majority of the dvd he covers the real basics of real palmistry.
Most importantly though - he talks alot about the ethics of it all. Which ultimately is the most important lesson to learn. You also see him in action giving someone an impromtu reading, which gives you a very good idea as to how to structure you reading.
And he nails the fact that the guy has 2 kids, both boys...
So ultimately, you are paying for years, and years and years of experience. Of honesty, of ethics and the basics of this skill.
As an aside, i would personally recommend this book for an indepth yet easy to understand step by step guide (with colour photos) -

Would i recommend this to you? Well, that's for you to decide isn't it. For me, this was highly insightful. And i was very impressed by the blunt honesty of it all too. I shall make alot of notes, then apply it what i want to achieve in my future readings.
8.5 out of 10 for me. I would say it might benefit the learning experience if it included a small crib sheet showing each major line and what it meant/where it was....
Please note: Reverend Lewis is what i class as a "character" - the way he comes across on here is to be taken with a pinch of salt, especially if you find the way he expresses himself a little harsh...i've always taken it as fun rudeness, things are said in a fake bluster of anger or venom. Not to be taken seriously i feel, i don't think he cares that much about others opinions of him...could be completely wrong, but this is my review...
