Can anybody give me a rough ideal how strong the pull is from there ring with a simple experiement.

Before I purchased one I was worried that it may be too strong for what I wanted it for. After trying it I am a little disapointed on its strength.

Can anybody help by telling me how many cards can create an air gap between a 2p and the ring before he 2p falls off.

On one hand, you're implying you HAVE a ring, and it's strength is disappointing... and conversely you're also saying that you'd like someone to do a test?

Someone to do a test so he can compare the strength of somebody elses ring to his.

Just to clarify, I do infact have a ring, i would like to compare it against another. I think it was on magic cafe that I read someone had measured this ring to other brands by measuring the amount of poker chips it could hold. I cant find the article and think that maybe mine is a little on the weak side.

You are correct in sayng you saw a comparison on the cafe, and that the Wizard PK Ring was mentioned as being the strongest Magnetic ring.

The way the rings are manufactured i will be very suprised if you found a ring that was weaker from the rest.

BTW do you have the old style or new style ring?

Mine will reliably carry off a 2p with ~25 Bikes between it and the edge of the ring.

Does that mean hold the whole deck? Or just keep the 2p atached with the ring whilst holding the deck with the other hand?

I held increasing amounts of cards in my palm with a 2p underneath and picked them up with the ring on my other hand, taking the 2p with them. ~25 cards is the maximum mine will safely carry the 2p off with the cards in the way.

Tomo thanks for checking with yours, I tried my ring & it worked with 26 cards so it seems that mine is of a similar strength.

I have the new band style PK. from what I've been told and read, there isn't really much difference in most available PK style rings- strength wise. yet, everyone who has a PK says it's the best..when combining looks and what it does.

I havent found much info about this other one called the "Vortex". Someone did say it was infact a bit stronger than the Wizards PK because it's got a slight rounded look to it..... yet, also heard it looks funny and more fishy than the Wizards.

Anyone have a Vortex and care to comment on it?

Blacks Magic PK rings are meant to be MUCH stornger.
