Bus-king

Postby mccabe24 » Oct 14th, '06, 17:56

Every day, I take the bus home from school. It is a long bus ride, and I usually spend this time talking and practicing coin sleights. I was wondering if the bus is a good place to perform magic. One time on the bus, me and a friend of mine, who is also a magician, were fooling around with card flourishes and we had half the bus staring in awe at us. Has anyone here every tried performing on a bus? Is it a good place to do magic? Some people on the bus are really grumpy and would probably fight anyone who talked to them. What I was thinking of doing was sitting near the middle of the bus and doing some fancy cuts and flourishes. I would take note of who is watching and ask that person if they would like to see some card work. Is this a good idea?

I was performing on the bus quite recently! Although it was to a mate. Be careful of bumps in the roads, it's a very easy way to send your cards/coins flying about all over the place. Visual magic works well, for obvious reasons.

Hmmm. Bumps would create a bit of problem. Oh well, if I don't really card if I loose a card or two, but dropping the card would ruin the effect. I guess I would just have to be careful.

Wow! It seems that magic on the bus is pretty well appreciated! I think I will try it out Monday on my way home from school.
