Anyone done this by James Coats, is it worth it?

Hmmmmm. The card in the bra. Can you think of how that one would go over?

Hello, mam, if you don't mind, I would like to remove a card from a peice of your clothing.

*SLAP*

The result is a pwned magician.

I'd sure like to know how that card gets there without him just openly placing it there....

Anyway, I have only heard reviews about one other James Coats DVD (watch stealing) and apparantly, it wasn't that great. Don't rush out to buy this one, wait for some proof that it is good.

Dude, if you do it in the right cheeky way, you can't believe what you can do.
I have seen a friend of mine make a silk disappear and reappear inside the knikers of a girl. And he goes to pick it up himself; and belive me, he didn't get slapped, they applauded!!! I could NEVER do that (wouldn't dare), but this guy did it, and if you do it the right way, it all goes well.

Depending on your attitude, charisma and approach, it's amazing what you can get away with. For instance—women generally keep their handbags as personal treasure troves—and making a card appear inside would 'suggest' you've been in there... invasion of privacy?

Similarly, making a card appear in underwear could be seen as risqué, although in reality, invading someone's privacy like this for entertainment purposes can also be very rewarding, shocking and hilarious.

You need to judge your 'victims' carefully. Some will take offence, there's no doubt, but most will see through the 'mechanics' and only remember the effect.

Any professional magician who works in this way will tell you that spectator's can be volatile—and what works in one situation with one set of spectators will not necessarily work everywhere.

If there's the slightest doubt in your mind, don't do it! Not only could you cause embarassment, but you could also get a lot worse!

Also, practice the loads on someone you know. Nothing worse than having to fumble! It took me about six months on and off before I was confident enough to load a signed card under a speccy's watch—let alone fiddle with their underwear!

This sounds great on the right spectator of course. Ive seen something like this performed before and the girl thought he was some sort of god or something. She asked him if he had the powers to touch her without touching her  (Nice girl).

Absolute Garbage.

The only thing that makes it worthwhile is the model Laticia.

(Text deleted by Mods - exposure)

All in all, very very stupid.

i've had this DVD for some time now. it's not the best, but not the worst. agreed that the model makes it more bearable. If nothing else, the DVD shows you some tips on timing and presentation. also, you see that although reactions can differ, the effect itself may be worth it. It's a little tough to explain without exposure.

I completely agree. I hated the DVD and couldn't find a single effect on there worth performing. If you know just one good impossible location effect, then that's one more than this DVD can provide.

Of course the idea of making a card appear in an item of clothing is appealing, especially since James Coats is known from his pickpocketing DVD. However in my opinion this is akin to false advertising.
