So the consensus is a big trick is not required? I like the linking rings trick, but it's old.

I was thinking of the disappearing bird cage trick...Lance Burton did it in Vegas. The price is about $3000....it could make for a big entrance.

Old does not make it bad!! Linking rings done properly and with carefully prepared performance is a very good, very mystifying trick. As a previous poster said, big stage illusions look mechanical. Everybody knows the sword doesn't go through the woman, everybody knows the birdcage must fold up somehow, but those rings?? how does he do that??
