I think the effect itself is good, gives off good reactions. However, the way it is done is kind of "cheap". Not that that really matters in magic, however the buildup by ellusionist created this huge hype over something fairly simple.

I think it's a bit pricey and it takes good misdirection practice to get this trick to seem really smooth without the dead obvious giveaway.

My two cents.

I think this is a great trick simply beacuse it's totally impromptu and doesn't requires any gimmicks!

Just to clarify, this trick can be done with ANY coins?

I figured out how to do it just as I was loading the video...although the video does give some good pointers, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out trying to attempt it. And the misdirection as far as I'm concerned occurs after the coin has vanished which makes it much better...

As I am fairly new to magic in comparisson to others.. I was truly amazed by the effect of "Revolution" and since my birthday had just passed I dowloaded the video..

As I said before I'm fairly new to magic, but in my opinion the trick might be done fairly easy, but is still really good! with the right misdirection, which Brad explains very well, its almost impossible to figure it out.. I tried it many times getting a hint watching the preview.. but it didnt help

I have no idea if there are books which could easily make you figure it out.. but for me, its amazing, and the friends I have tried it on, were pretty much schocked.. (DO IT AGAIN!) ( WOW!)

And some one said, the trick is to easy to pay that amount for..
but I have heard and seen reviews of people that say other expensive tricks are really obvious once you know it.. but they were still worth the money..

So for me as a beginner, this coin vanish is SUPER! and gives great responses from spectators.. but I have no idea if you guys would like it or not.. just look at the preview.. and if the effect impresses you all the way.. than why not get it, no matter how simple it is.. cause spectators wont figure it out anyway

buy it!! Its a beautiful vanish

Sure you can buy 100 vanishes in Bobos book, but if you are serious about magic Bobos book should be in your possession regardless.

Put it this way, I do revolution almost every day, no gimmicks, borrow a coin.. vanish it.. it really is nice... If you cant figure it out watching the preview over and over 20 times in a row.. a layperson wont figure it out watching it once will they?

Yes its sooo simple.. yes you will feel like you have been blatantly ripped off.. but reserve judgement till you try this in a mirror.. and 2 weeks later for your first spectator.. the reactions are pretty amazing..

If you do figure it out, there are lots of handling tips that you really need to be able to pull this off.. and the dvd/download gives you that..

kevin Parkers productions are so simple its actually clever and require certain handling which you need to buy the product for.

Buy it!!

i own it, Revolution is a great vanish. yes it is annoyingly simple... wish i thought of it, but i didn't! true enough, try it in the mirror first, it is one of "those" tricks you will even amaze yourself with! highly recommnded DVD comes with many great tips and hints to help make your performance as good as possible.

Thanks I.D

The main thing I look at before I buy an effect is, wait for it, the effect. Nothing else. I did not buy it as Bobo's gave me some ideas that led to me figuring out how to do this, but I do know how it is done. For thouse of you against buying this because the method is simple think about this: what was your reaction when you first saw this performed. If you were amazed, or even confused, you should probably consider buying this effect. When you get the effect and learn the method, if you are disapointed, consider this: What was your reaction when you first saw the effect? Multiply that by about 100 and you will have the reaction of a layman. They are not going to care if the method you use is simple, they won't even know your method. The point is, this is a very convincing vanish, and in my mind, a great effect. When performing magic, the most imprortant thing is the effect, not the method.

By the way, in case you are wondering, there have been previous post where I have critisized gimmicks and looked for new ways to create the same effect. The messages in thouse posts are completly different from the message above. My reason for not using gimmicks is that you don't have to carry them around so you are not caught barehanded when you are met with a request to perform. This effect is not gimmicked, so I do not care what method is used to vanish the coin. I only care about the vanishing effect.

I hope I have helped a few people make up their mind about whether or not to buy this, and maybe even changed a few people's opinions on this effect  . I know some of you won't agree, but this is my opinion and since I have started following it, I have become a much better magician. I would recomend everyone try the same.

I can say it's just a move, a very nice move (easy vanish, and very clear, if well done).

the problem is: they sell moves that have already been published (anyone have bobo's coin magic??)
