This is my first review so sorry if I miss anything that is normally put in a one. Just post a question that wasn't answered in this and I will try my best answering it without exposing the secret.

Effect discription (in my own words, if you want to read the "real" description just check the link):

2 Jokers are held face up and 4 queens are held face down to protect which one is of which suit. The spectator is asked to point to one of the queens and then to state what suit it is. The other 3 queens are removed and the 2 jokers and queen are flipped over to reveal that queen is of the same suit as stated by the spectator. The three other queens are flipped over only to be revealed that the 3 queens are in fact jokers (the spectator picked the only queen in the packed and guessed its suit).

Thoughts and things to spur the CUPS inside of you (I'm so evil ):

No forces...

No switches...

Any suit can be named...

Can be performed over and over again.


The Booklet:

9 Pages with 21 pictures to detail what you are reading along with a few tips at the very end. A few abbreviations are used but most of you will understand them and you will be able to understand what is going on even if you don't understand them, especially with the pictures. Being $20, in my opinion, is a little bit steep, but if this effect sounds like you, it is worth it.

All in all this effect is definately worth it, if it wouldn't have been for the price it would be a 9.5/10 but because of the price I'm going to have to give this one an 8...However, if this effect sound like you, go for it; you won't be dissapointed.

Yes this is a very nice effect. I personally dont think its that expensive for the reactions you can get from it.

For performers of Twisted Sisters, this seems very similar in premice...

i guess its just so expansive because of the *a*** you´ll get with the packet trick.

i've seen a similar thread over at the magic cafe, but i was wondering watter patter people use for this effect, to justify the need for the 2 jokers?
i have it, and thats the one thing that still bothers me slightly... why are they there, why am i holding 4 queens and 2 jokers?
Micheal Close performed this trick for me, and his patter was along the lines of divas in las vegas needing to be followed everywhere by their bouncers, it worked for a slick houdini lounge pro like him, and certianly persuaded me to buy the trick. but think there must be other ways of presenting it that are perhaps more suited to the uk.

id give the trick 9/10 by the way, it messes with people heads !

I say that for every queen there needs to be 2 body guards by the king's request. Since the King could have only choosen one queen he only needed 2 body guards [spectator names suit of queen]. And then you go along with the trick using your own patter .

It really does mess with thier heads.
Make them eliminate 1 by 1 and it makes them think it even more impossible

Outstanding review! I agree with all the gents above though. I think that $20 is very reasonable, even though it is a smaller book. By any chance, did you get this at Hank Lee's? They tend to hike their prices way up.

Excellent trick, great reactions. I made up my own version with my own cards, at the moment I follow the "Guards patter" and the other jokers end up being "undercover" agents. I do Twisted Sisters also, but with Kings so performing them together is not a problem. Just because you know the similarity of working, if presented with some imagination, the punters will not.

Thanks everyone for adding your thoughts and comments to this. The more I am performing this, the more I realize that this was in fact worth the $20.

Yes I did get it at Hank Lee's...I don't think I'll be buying much more from them again.

I understood only about half of the trick...I know that the elmsly count is used but this has my stumped.

Talking of awful customer service, I have tried to contact Gordon Bean severel times over the last month to no avail!
