White or Wheat w/ a twist

OK, I'm modifying Daniel Garcia's effect, White or Wheat (a sandwhich effect,) in order to make it simpler with easier sleights and much more involved with the spectator.
The ending is changed in this way (the beginning and middle are changed too,) but I really only need help with one sleight.
In the last quarter of the act, I place the two jokers in the spectators hand; spectator is told to keep hands closed tightly in order for no trickery and not to let anyone touch the cards. I quickly make a pass of a card into the middle face up (so it's backwards in relation to the other cards. Also to tell the truth, I don't know really how to do a pass :D.) After, I fan the cards face up and notice the upside down card. After waving the fan over their hands 3 times, I need to find a way to end up clean by flipping the card back to a regular position. I was thiking of using the distraction of the spectator opening his hands revealing his sandwhiched card, but I was planning on performing in a crowd and someone will be bound to keep an eye on my hands.I will attempt to post a video of the trick when it's done. My camera's on the fritz right now.

Edit: I found one method to do it, but it's pretty suspicious as I said before.

Well you could try something along the lines of...

fan until you see the card, make a index finger break under it angling the cards in a way so the spec can't see the break. Then use a bit of misdirection by staring the spec into their eyes (think of some patter), stick your finger under the break and push up (onto the card that is face up), the quickly "snap" your finger to the top of the deck bringing the card with your finger while flipping it. This is easier done than said and I hope you understand what I mean.

Sorry if this post seems "loopy"...read when it was written. But the sleight that I just told you works.

Not to mods and admins:

I don't think this was exposure because it just revealed a sleight and not an effect. If it is still considered exposure please delete it, I have no objections at all (not that they would matter anyway ).

that's similar to what I'm doing. I'm using the index-break and then just closing the fan after 3 waves. Then quickly do a half-pass and just flip the card back over without bringing it to the top. The misdirection is actually pretty good just by telling them to look under their hands.
